Google pushes harder for Mobile Friendly Sites
Google recently made further changes to it's algorithm to ensure that it's users get good, relevant answers when using any device. They believe that you should get the best answer possible, whether you're on a phone, desktop or tablet.
In April last year, they started using mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal on mobile searches. In May, they started rolling out an update to mobile search results that increases the effect of the ranking signal to help users find even more pages that are relevant and mobile-friendly.
What does this mean?
It's simple, if your site is not responsive or does not have a mobile version, it is unlikely to be indexed when someone searched from a mobile device. As a huge % of web traffic is now on mobile devices, it is well worth taking a look at your website on a mobile. If you have to zoom in to read it...that's bad!
